Learners

Not all young people find traditional education paths work for them. School for many reasons may not be the most appropriate route through which to develop the life skills necessary for future life.

We find that for many young people in this situation they need some additional support. They welcome the additional time spent understanding their particular situation and in the development of a work experience plan to meet their hopes and aspirations. They respond positively to the opportunity to try new experiences in areas that they are interested in and build a new perspective on life.

At New Leaf we aim to help young people get on the path to a successful future. We help them to turn a new leaf and develop skills such as communication, independence, time management and problem solving. We help with qualifications and with experienced employer support start on their chosen career.

I now have a apprenticeship which New Leaf helped to set up I have never been so happy
